The Health Service Executive (HSE) invites applications for the position of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade Code 2119) within the Technology and Transformation function. This specified-purpose wholetime role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to contribute to digital health innovation and clinical information systems across multiple HSE regions in Ireland.
About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Technology & Transformation) will be instrumental in supporting the implementation of clinical information systems and healthcare technology initiatives across the public health service. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help shape the delivery of safe, efficient, and digitally enabled patient care.
This role suits an experienced nurse with strong communication, project management, and digital literacy skills who is passionate about transforming healthcare through technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the implementation of clinical information systems in community and acute care settings.
- Contribute to project planning, delivery, and evaluation within the Technology & Transformation division.
- Work collaboratively with clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders across the HSE and partner organisations.
- Prepare reports, documents, and summaries of clinical and operational data to support decision-making.
- Promote adherence to national eHealth standards and clinical governance frameworks.
- Support education, change management, and training linked to new digital systems.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Registered on the General Division of the NMBI Register.
- A minimum of five years’ post-registration experience, including at least two years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience with clinical information systems or healthcare applications.
- Evidence of collaborative project or team-based work.
- Strong written communication and analytical skills.
Desirable
- Experience in project or change management.
- Familiarity with HSE digital transformation strategies.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in leadership, management, or informatics.
What We Offer
- Salary Scale (as of 1 August 2025): €61,463 – €77,666 (including LSI) per annum, in accordance with the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales.
