Cognizant Technology Solutions Ireland is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to join its Life Sciences division in Cork. This permanent role offers an opportunity to support cutting-edge manufacturing and automation systems, driving digital transformation across pharmaceutical and biotechnology environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support Incident Response, Backup Monitoring, and Disaster Recovery processes.
- Oversee Account and Group Management within secure IT environments.
- Coordinate Patch Deployment and support external Service Providers.
- Implement IT changes in compliance with GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and EU GMP Annex 11.
- Develop and execute Change Controls, Work Items, and CAPAs.
- Write and maintain SOPs, Design Specifications, System Overviews, and Security Plans.
- Lead deviation investigations and document validation deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Pharma/Biotech environment.
- Strong understanding of 21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11 compliance principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage IT applications in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Trackwise, Veeva Quality Docs, ALM, SmartLab, or Empower (advantageous).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized professional.
