Cork University Hospital (CUH) is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) to join the Dunmanway Day Unit on a 12-month specified purpose contract. This post offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified nurse to take on a leadership and coordination role in a busy hospital setting within HSE South West.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate nursing care within the Dunmanway Day Unit.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred services.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and healthcare staff.
• Maintain compliance with HSE clinical and operational standards.
• Oversee patient flow and ensure safe discharge planning.
• Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including relevant clinical experience.
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based nursing practice.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland and compliance with HSE recruitment requirements.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• HSE Consolidated Pay Scale (1 August 2025): €56,642 – €66,705 per annum (CNM1 Grade Code 2127).
• 35-hour week, Wholetime Specified Purpose Contract.
