Collins McNicholas Recruitment is hiring an experienced IT Technician to join a growing client team in Sligo on a permanent, full-time basis. This role offers hands-on responsibility across hardware, software, and network support within a busy professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Service Desk to order, build, and configure new PCs, install software, and deliver systems to end users.
• Provide hardware and software support both in-person and remotely for desktops, applications, and networks.
• Troubleshoot Windows, networking, and printing issues effectively.
• Maintain and update the ITSM ticketing system, ensuring timely communication and escalation.
• Manage and support audiovisual (AV) systems in meeting rooms.
• Deliver high-quality “white glove” support for executives and key users.
• Support local infrastructure operations, including servers, routers, and switches.
• Lead and manage local IT projects and process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Third-level degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT support, with proven skills in networking, operating systems, and virtualization.
• Experience with service desk systems such as ServiceNow.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotation.
