Cumas New Ross is seeking a dedicated Day Opportunities Team Leader to join its disability services team in the New Ross area. This permanent, full-time role offers the opportunity to lead, mentor, and inspire a team delivering person-centred, empowering supports to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate the delivery of day opportunity services in line with organisational goals and regulatory standards.
• Promote inclusion, independence, and community participation among service users.
• Supervise, coach, and support a team of staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Develop and implement individualised plans that enhance wellbeing and skill development.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and ensure compliance with policies and HIQA standards.
• Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related Health & Social Care discipline.
• Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a similar setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Commitment to person-centred care and inclusion.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Workshop Supervisor / Instructor – Senior (Grade Code 6402).
• Salary Scale: As per Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025, in line with FEMPI Acts and Circular 6/2025).
• Employment Type: Permanent, Wholetime.
• Working Hours: Standard full-time hours.
