Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
• Support nursing staff in delivering quality, person-centred care under the Named Nurse model
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, providing companionship and emotional support
• Assist residents with mobility, personal hygiene, dressing, and daily living activities
• Support residents with eating, drinking, and physical comfort while maintaining dignity
• Participate in and help organise social and recreational activities
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control
• Communicate effectively with residents’ families and the wider care team
• Contribute to health & safety standards within the care centre
• Carry out additional duties as required by the Nurse in Charge or management
Required Skills & Qualifications
• FETAC / QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support qualification (completed or in progress)
• Experience in a healthcare environment (HIQA knowledge desirable)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Positive, flexible approach in a demanding care environment
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Satisfactory references, medical clearance, and Garda Vetting required
