Beaumont Hospital is seeking a highly experienced Consultant Nephrologist & General Physician to act as Lead Transplant Nephrologist with a special interest in Living Donation within the National Kidney Transplant Service. This is a prestigious consultant role offering national clinical leadership, academic involvement, and direct impact on transplant outcomes across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level nephrology and general physician care
• Act as Lead Transplant Nephrologist within the National Kidney Transplant Service
• Lead and develop living kidney donation programmes nationally
• Participate in multidisciplinary transplant assessment and governance
• Contribute to service planning, quality improvement, and audit
• Supervise and mentor NCHDs and multidisciplinary staff
• Participate in on-call and emergency consultant rotas
• Engage in teaching, research, and academic collaboration

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registration on the Specialist Division of the Medical Council (Nephrology)
• Extensive consultant-level experience in nephrology and transplantation
• Demonstrated expertise in kidney transplantation and living donation
• Eligibility to work as a Consultant Nephrologist & General Physician in Ireland
• Proven leadership, governance, and service development capability
• Strong commitment to teaching, research, and clinical excellence
