Bus Éireann is recruiting motivated individuals to join its Professional Bus Driver Training Programme 2026. This programme offers structured, paid training leading to a full Category D licence and a long-term driving career delivering high-quality public transport services across Ireland.

• Operate buses safely and efficiently in line with company standards
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure a positive passenger experience
• Adhere to all road safety, legal, and operational requirements
• Represent Bus Éireann professionally at all times
• Participate fully in training, assessments, and ongoing development
• Work scheduled services following licence qualification
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Valid Irish Driving Licence Category B (minimum 2 years) or Category C with no endorsements
• Valid Irish D Licence Learner Permit
• Valid Irish CPC Bus Case Study Sheet (valid for 2 years from issue date)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including early, late, and night duties

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary:
• €658.82 per week gross during training
• €829.09 per week after obtaining Category D Licence
• Progression up to €959.87 per week
Working Hours:
• 5 days over 7, rotating early/middle/late/night shifts after qualification
