Cavan Monaghan Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager II – Alcohol Liaison to lead and develop specialist alcohol liaison services across acute care settings. This permanent, whole-time role offers a senior clinical leadership opportunity with a strong focus on patient-centred, evidence-based addiction care.
This is a key role within Urgent & Ambulatory Care Services, supporting integrated pathways for patients presenting with alcohol-related health needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate the Alcohol Liaison Service within the hospital
• Provide expert clinical leadership in alcohol-related assessment, intervention and referral
• Support multidisciplinary teams in delivering integrated, evidence-based care
• Develop and monitor clinical standards, policies and quality improvement initiatives
• Supervise, mentor and support nursing staff within the service
• Contribute to service planning, audit, and outcome evaluation
• Promote patient advocacy, education and health promotion initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the NMBI Register (relevant division)
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including relevant specialist practice
• At least 2 years experience at CNM I level or equivalent
• Demonstrated leadership, clinical governance and service development skills
• Experience in addiction, mental health, or acute care settings (highly desirable)
• Excellent communication, decision-making and organisational skills

• Salary Scale (1 Aug 2025): €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (LSI applicable)
