University Hospital Limerick is recruiting Hygiene Attendants to support safe, clean, and hygienic healthcare environments across HSE Mid West services. This permanent whole-time role is essential to patient safety and infection prevention.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in clinical and non-clinical areas
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures
• Safely use cleaning equipment and approved chemicals
• Dispose of waste in line with HSE policies
• Work collaboratively with clinical and support teams
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Ability to carry out physical cleaning duties
• Awareness of hygiene and infection control practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability and attention to detail
• Previous cleaning experience in healthcare is desirable but not essential
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Cleaner 4113 (General Support)
• Salary in line with HSE consolidated pay scales (effective 1 August 2025)
