Cork University Hospital is seeking a Physiotherapy Practice Tutor to join its Physiotherapy Department on a permanent whole-time basis. This role plays a key part in the education, supervision, and professional development of undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students in a leading acute teaching hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality clinical education for physiotherapy students
  • Supervise and assess students during clinical placements in line with CORU and university standards
  • Support clinical staff in developing teaching and supervisory skills
  • Contribute to curriculum development and clinical education initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments
  • Promote evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
  • Liaise with academic partners and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement activities

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Registration as a Physiotherapist with CORU
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification or commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Significant post-qualification clinical experience in physiotherapy
  • Demonstrated experience in student supervision and clinical education
  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
