Cork University Hospital is seeking a Physiotherapy Practice Tutor to join its Physiotherapy Department on a permanent whole-time basis. This role plays a key part in the education, supervision, and professional development of undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students in a leading acute teaching hospital environment.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality clinical education for physiotherapy students
- Supervise and assess students during clinical placements in line with CORU and university standards
- Support clinical staff in developing teaching and supervisory skills
- Contribute to curriculum development and clinical education initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments
- Promote evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
- Liaise with academic partners and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration as a Physiotherapist with CORU
- Relevant postgraduate qualification or commitment to ongoing professional development
- Significant post-qualification clinical experience in physiotherapy
- Demonstrated experience in student supervision and clinical education
- Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
