Children’s Health Ireland is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Gastroenterology Dietitian to join its specialist paediatric services in Dublin South. This permanent, whole-time role offers the opportunity to deliver expert dietetic care to children with complex gastroenterology needs while contributing to service development, education, and research.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced specialist dietetic assessment and intervention for paediatric gastroenterology patients
• Lead and manage complex clinical caseloads in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based dietetic services
• Provide education and training to staff, patients, and families
• Participate in audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives
• Support service planning and policy development within Children’s Health Ireland
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance and professional practice
Required Skills & Qualifications
• CORU registration as a Dietitian (or eligibility to register)
• Relevant postgraduate qualification or significant specialist experience in gastroenterology dietetics
• Demonstrated experience working at an advanced or specialist level
• Strong clinical decision-making and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities
• Commitment to continuous professional development
