Job Overview

University Hospital Waterford is seeking an experienced ENT Registrar to join its surgical team on a fixed-term, whole-time contract. This role offers excellent clinical exposure, structured supervision, and opportunities for professional development within a major HSE teaching hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care in Otolaryngology (ENT) services
• Participate in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency ENT services
• Assist in surgical procedures and perioperative management
• Contribute to on-call rotas in line with departmental requirements
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Participate in audit, teaching, and continuous professional development
• Work collaboratively with consultants, NCHDs, nurses, and allied health professionals

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) in the appropriate division
• Relevant postgraduate experience in ENT or surgical specialties
• Demonstrated competence in acute and elective ENT care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

• Salary in line with HSE Registrar (Grade 1538) consolidated pay scales
• Current annual salary range: €68,891 – €81,126 (depending on point on scale)
• Pensionable HSE role with access to public service benefits
• Annual leave, study leave, and training opportunities as per HSE terms
• Working hours and on-call commitments aligned with NCHD contracts
