University Hospital Kerry is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to lead nursing services within the Acute Medical Assessment Unit (AMAU). This is a key leadership role focused on patient flow, clinical governance, and high-quality acute care delivery in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical and professional leadership to nursing staff within the AMAU
• Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical governance
• Manage patient flow in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Oversee staffing, rostering, and skill mix to meet service demands
• Support audit, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
• Act as a role model for best nursing practice and professional conduct
• Participate in operational planning and policy implementation
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the NMBI Register
• Minimum requirements as per the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade 2119) Job Specification
• Proven post-registration clinical experience, ideally in acute medical settings
• Demonstrated leadership, management, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Experience in patient flow management is highly desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade 2119)
• Pay Range (1 Aug 2025): €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (LSI applicable)
• Salary is paid in accordance with HSE Consolidated Salary Scales
• Pension scheme, annual leave, and public service benefits apply
• Working hours as per HSE contractual arrangements
