The Director of Nursing, Integrated and Community Care is a senior strategic leadership role with responsibility for advancing high-quality, integrated and community-based nursing and midwifery services across the Dublin and Midlands region. The post plays a central role in transforming care delivery closer to home in line with Sláintecare principles.
Table of Contents
This role provides professional leadership, assurance, and regional coordination across integrated care pathways, strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration and supporting effective transitions of care.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic nursing and midwifery leadership for integrated and community care services across the region
• Lead the development and implementation of integrated care pathways and service models
• Act as a key liaison between the Regional Director of Nursing and Midwifery and frontline services
• Ensure consistency and quality in nursing and midwifery service delivery across the region
• Drive service transformation to support care closer to home
• Strengthen multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration
• Provide governance, assurance, and performance oversight for integrated nursing services
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Nurse on the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Significant senior nursing leadership and management experience
• Demonstrated experience in integrated and community care service development
• Proven ability to lead complex service transformation programmes
• Strong strategic, governance, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

• Grade: Director of Nursing (Area Mental Health) – Grade Code 2525
• Salary Scale (1 August 2025): €111,247 – €129,788 per annum
• Contract Type: Permanent, Wholetime
