An excellent opportunity is available for a Senior House Officer Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join Wexford General Hospital. This role offers hands-on clinical experience within a supportive multidisciplinary team, contributing to high-quality maternity and women’s health services.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day clinical care to obstetrics and gynaecology patients
• Participate in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services
• Assist with obstetric and gynaecological procedures under supervision
• Contribute to on-call and rota commitments as required
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
• Work collaboratively with consultants, registrars, midwives, and nursing staff
• Engage in teaching, audit, and continuous professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Degree in Medicine
• Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
• IELTS or OET certification where applicable
• Previous Irish or UK medical experience (essential)
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
