Health Promotion & Improvement Officer – Dublin North

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Health Promotion and Improvement Officer to support population health initiatives across Dublin North. This role focuses on reducing health inequalities and improving health outcomes through evidence-based programmes and community engagement. The post is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate health promotion and improvement programmes
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners
• Support needs assessments and contribute to local health action planning
• Develop and deliver health education resources and interventions
• Monitor outcomes and report on programme effectiveness
• Contribute to policy development and best practice in health promotion
• Engage with stakeholders across statutory, voluntary, and community sectors

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Relevant third-level qualification in health promotion, public health, or related discipline
• Experience in community-based health promotion or health improvement work
• Strong project planning and evaluation skills
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and report-writing abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland

• Salary in line with Health Promotion and Improvement Officer Grade 6200 (HSE consolidated pay scales, effective 1 August 2025)
