An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Grade VI Human Resources Officer to join the National Cancer Control Programme within HSE Corporate. This role plays a key part in supporting national HR initiatives and delivering effective people management services across a critical healthcare programme.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide professional HR advice and operational support to managers and staff
• Support recruitment, workforce planning, and resourcing activities
• Contribute to HR projects, policy development, and change initiatives
• Manage employee relations issues in line with HSE policies and legislation
• Support performance management and organisational development processes
• Analyse HR data and prepare reports to support decision-making
• Ensure compliance with public service HR standards and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant third-level qualification in Human Resources or related discipline
• Demonstrable HR experience at an appropriate level
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice
• Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Experience within the public service or healthcare sector is desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is in line with the HSE Grade VI pay scale, as per consolidated health sector salary scales effective from 1 August 2025 .
Benefits include public service pension, annual leave entitlement, and access to professional development. Working hours may be whole-time or part-time depending on appointment.
Location & Employer Information
The post is based at Kings Inn House, 200 Parnell Street, Dublin 1, within the National Cancer Control Programme, HSE Corporate. A panel may be formed to fill future Grade VI Human Resources Officer vacancies nationally.
