University Hospital Waterford is recruiting a Medical Secretary – Grade IV through an internal supplementary campaign. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical secretarial and administrative support
- Manage correspondence, reports, and confidential patient documentation
- Coordinate appointments, clinics, and patient records
- Liaise with consultants, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based filing systems
- Ensure compliance with HSE data protection and governance standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Eligibility restricted to employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies (per WRC Agreement 161867)
- Previous medical secretarial or senior administrative experience
- Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Experience working in a healthcare or hospital setting is desirable

- Salary: HSE Grade IV Clerical/Administrative pay scale (Point placement based on experience)
- Contract: Permanent whole-time
