St Luke’s General Hospital, Kilkenny is seeking a Chief I Cardiac Physiologist to deliver a high-quality, patient-focused echocardiography service for GP-referred patients. This role forms a key part of the Integrated Care Cardiology Team, supporting both ambulatory and hospital-based cardiac services.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver comprehensive echocardiography services for GP-referred and ambulatory patients
• Support cardiac investigations and interventions within the hospital setting
• Work under the clinical and governance framework of the Cardiology Service
• Collaborate closely with the Integrated Care Cardiology Team
• Perform a full range of cardiac investigations appropriate to the grade
• Support the Chief II Cardiac Physiologist in service delivery and development
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, quality, and clinical governance
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Recognised qualification in Cardiac Physiology
• Eligibility for professional registration as required for the grade
• Significant post-qualification experience in echocardiography
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Experience supporting service development is desirable
