An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for Clinical Nurse Manager CNM2 – Digital for Care Programmes within the HSE West and North West. This role supports the delivery and governance of digital health initiatives, strengthening clinical engagement and patient-centred digital care across the region.
Table of Contents
There are three specified purpose, whole-time posts available. One post is based with the ICT Team at Galway University Hospital, while the remaining two offer location flexibility across the region, with a requirement to attend GUH at least one day per week.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical leadership for digital care and eHealth programmes
• Support implementation of regional and national digital health initiatives
• Act as a key liaison between nursing, ICT, and multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to governance, quality, and safety of digital clinical systems
• Support change management and digital adoption across services
• Participate in regional planning, reporting, and evaluation activities
• Promote best practice in digital nursing and midwifery care
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Current registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Register
• Relevant postgraduate qualification or evidence of ongoing professional development
• Demonstrated leadership experience at CNM1 or equivalent level
• Experience in digital health, informatics, or service improvement (desirable)
• Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Point 1–11)
€61,463 – €77,666 per annum (LSI applicable)
