The Health Service Executive is seeking a Grade VI ICT Technology Officer – Networks to join the Technology and Transformation team. This is a senior technical and coordination role supporting national health ICT infrastructure, with responsibility for secure, resilient, and scalable network services across multiple HSE locations.

This is an internal competition open only to eligible public health sector employees under WRC Agreement 161867.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development, implementation, and management of enterprise network technologies
• Support WAN, LAN, WLAN, and network perimeter infrastructure across HSE sites
• Oversee routing, protocols, and network hardware/software solutions
• Contribute to complex ICT projects involving multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams
• Manage and coordinate internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure network security, availability, and performance standards are met
• Provide technical leadership and guidance within ICT teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Proven experience in network technologies including WAN, LAN, WLAN, routing, and protocols
• Experience with network hardware, software, and perimeter security
• Demonstrated involvement in ICT projects with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively across internal and external teams
• Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills
• Eligibility to work within the Irish public health service (internal candidates only)
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Grade VI (0574)
• Salary: In line with HSE Grade VI pay scale (public sector rates apply)
• Contract: Permanent, Whole-Time

Location & Employer Information
This is a national post with appointments available across multiple HSE locations, including Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Kerry, Meath, Sligo, Leitrim, Kilkenny, Offaly, Louth, and Tipperary.
