Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda is seeking a Registrar in Anaesthesia to join its dynamic clinical team within HSE Dublin and North East. This fixed-term wholetime post offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a busy acute hospital setting while contributing to high-quality perioperative and critical care services.
Table of Contents
This is an internal competition and is open only to employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies in line with WRC Agreement 161867.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide anaesthetic services across theatre, emergency, and critical care settings
• Participate in perioperative patient assessment and management
• Support consultants in complex anaesthetic procedures
• Contribute to on-call rota and emergency cover
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Engage in clinical audit, teaching, and continuous professional development
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) in the appropriate division
• Relevant postgraduate training and experience in Anaesthesia
• Demonstrated competence in acute and perioperative care
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• Previous HSE experience desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the HSE Registrar payscale (Grade Code 1538) effective 1 August 2025, ranging from €68,891 to €81,126 per annum depending on point placement .
