University Hospital Limerick is seeking a Consultant General Physician with a special interest in Inclusion Health. This is a senior leadership opportunity within the Medicine Directorate, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across HSE Mid West. The Consultant General Physician Limerick role offers the chance to shape services for vulnerable populations while contributing to acute and general medical services.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive general medical care within University Hospital Limerick
• Lead and develop Inclusion Health services within the Medicine Directorate
• Participate in acute medical on-call and consultant rota commitments
• Supervise and support NCHDs and multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to service planning, clinical governance, and quality improvement
• Engage in teaching, audit, and research activities
• Collaborate with community and primary care services across HSE Mid West
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the relevant specialty
• Significant experience in General Medicine at consultant level
• Demonstrated interest or experience in Inclusion Health
• Strong leadership and multidisciplinary team collaboration skills
• Commitment to clinical governance, audit, and continuous improvement

Salary: In line with HSE Consultant pay scales (Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales, 1 August 2025)
