This is a senior-level opportunity to join the Technology & Transformation team within the Dublin & South East region, playing a critical role in strengthening cyber security capabilities across key healthcare systems. As a Grade VIII Cyber Security Analyst, you will contribute to safeguarding sensitive data, ensuring compliance, and enhancing resilience against cyber threats. This role offers strong career progression within a high-impact public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support cyber security initiatives across the regional infrastructure
- Identify, assess, and mitigate cyber security risks and vulnerabilities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements
- Monitor systems and respond to security incidents and breaches
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve security awareness and controls
- Develop and implement cyber security policies, frameworks, and procedures
- Support audits, reporting, and continuous improvement of security practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Third level qualification in cyber security, IT, data protection, risk, business, or finance (desirable)
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC (desirable)
- Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks and regulatory compliance
- Experience in risk assessment and incident response
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and across multidisciplinary teams
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale: €83,081 – €100,205 per annum (based on experience and point on scale).
Permanent whole-time position with standard public sector working hours.

Location & Employer Information
This role is within the Dublin & South East Technology & Transformation division. The successful candidate will be based at one of the following locations:
- Iveagh Building, Carrickmines Park, Carrickmines, Dublin, D18 X015
- Lacken, Dublin Road, Kilkenny
If based in Kilkenny, regular travel to the Dublin office will be required. A panel may be formed for future vacancies across the region.
