Job Overview
The successful candidate will undertake a defined candidacy programme, developing advanced clinical skills, leadership capabilities, and service improvement expertise. On successful completion within a maximum of three years, the candidate will transition into a permanent Advanced Practice Radiographer role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality radiographic imaging services in line with clinical standards
- Participate in advanced practice training and competency development programmes
- Support clinical decision-making through expert imaging interpretation and analysis
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and innovation initiatives
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical governance standards
- Provide mentorship and support to junior radiography staff where appropriate
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualification in Radiography with CORU registration (or eligibility)
- Demonstrated clinical experience in diagnostic imaging
- Strong commitment to professional development and advanced practice progression
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Evidence of continuous professional development is desirable
- Capacity to complete the Advanced Practice candidacy programme within 3 years
