This Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Physician role at Beaumont Hospital combines clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities across gastroenterology and general medicine. Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-level care in gastroenterology and general internal medicine
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services
- Supervise and support junior medical staff and trainees
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
- Engage in clinical audit, research, and continuous professional development
- Participate in on-call rotas and emergency care provision
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) in the Specialist Division
- Recognised qualification in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine
- Extensive experience in consultant-level clinical practice
- Proven expertise in endoscopic procedures and gastrointestinal diagnostics
- Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and research
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
