Job Overview
The successful candidate will support the delivery of high standards of care within a nursing home environment while assisting residents with dignity, compassion, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care in accordance with individual care plans
- Support residents with daily living activities and personal care needs
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable care environment
- Report changes in residents’ conditions efficiently and accurately
- Work collaboratively with nursing and healthcare teams
- Demonstrate leadership and responsibility within the care setting
- Follow all healthcare policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines
- Maintain professional communication with residents, families, and colleagues
Required Skills & Qualifications
- FETAC Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or Healthcare Support
- Minimum two years’ experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a nursing home environment
- Genuine passion for caring for others
- Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy approach to work
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
- Strong reporting and communication skills
- Flexible availability and strong teamwork skills
- Valid permission to work in Ireland
- Two professional references required
- Driving licence preferred
