Orwell Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join its highly respected Care of the Elderly services in Rathgar, Dublin 6. Job Overview
The Staff Nurse will share responsibility with the nursing team for delivering high-quality nursing care under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing. The successful candidate will provide safe and effective care in line with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) standards and Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) regulations.
Orwell Healthcare operates across two Rathgar locations, including Orwell Private and Orwell Queen of Peace, delivering services such as long-term care, convalescence care, dementia support, acquired brain injury care, respite services, and home care support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with NMBI and HIQA guidelines.
- Support the management and day-to-day care needs of residents within Orwell Healthcare facilities.
- Maintain professional integrity and clinical excellence in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Code of Professional Conduct.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, residents, and families.
- Contribute to a person-centred and compassionate care environment.
- Assist with care planning, documentation, and clinical assessments.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and mandatory training programmes.
- Ensure compliance with Orwell Healthcare policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered on the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Current and active NMBI PIN is essential.
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience required.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong commitment to person-centred elderly care.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Must have current work authorisation for Ireland.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Hourly Salary: €21.00 per hour
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (39 hours per week)
