Job Overview
The successful candidate will lead and support production operatives across manufacturing operations while promoting a strong culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional departments, oversee training and development initiatives, and ensure operational targets are achieved efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and promote a strong health and safety culture throughout the manufacturing plant
- Lead and manage production operatives through effective mentorship, coaching, and communication
- Ensure all quality standards and manufacturing procedures are consistently followed
- Champion Amcor’s values and behaviours across daily operations
- Coordinate and deliver training for production staff across manufacturing processes
- Maintain accurate records relating to training, safety, and disciplinary matters
- Drive excellent housekeeping standards using 7S methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals with business objectives
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Allocate resources effectively to support manufacturing projects and operational targets
- Communicate company goals and operational expectations clearly to all team members
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Secondary school education required
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or leadership experience preferred
- Strong leadership and employee engagement skills
- Mechanical aptitude with excellent dexterity skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lead multiple operational lines simultaneously
- Experience with 7S methodologies and continuous improvement practices
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Positive, practical, and output-focused attitude
- Ability to support change management initiatives and strategic manufacturing improvements
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
This permanent full-time Shift Team Lead role offers a competitive salary ranging from €45,000 to €55,000 per year depending on experience.
