Job Overview
The successful Radiographer Staff Grade will work within the Radiology Department at St Columcille’s Hospital, Loughlinstown, supporting diagnostic imaging services across a range of clinical areas. This role requires strong technical expertise, patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The position is offered on a permanent whole-time basis through HSE Dublin and South East and is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with departmental protocols
- Ensure patient safety, dignity, and comfort throughout all radiographic procedures
- Operate radiographic imaging equipment efficiently and safely
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Work collaboratively with consultants, clinicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in quality assurance and radiation protection procedures
- Support service delivery within a busy acute hospital environment
- Adhere to HSE policies, CORU standards, and professional best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualification recognised for CORU registration as a Radiographer
- Current or eligibility for CORU registration
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient-focused healthcare delivery
- Knowledge of radiation safety standards and clinical governance
- Previous hospital radiography experience is desirable
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary will be aligned with HSE Radiographer Staff Grade pay scales and public sector terms and conditions.
