Corlann is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse Enhanced Nurse to join its Intellectual Disability Services team in Thomastown, Co. Tipperary. Job Overview
The successful candidate will work within Corlann South East’s Intellectual Disability Services, supporting residents and service users through person-centred nursing care and clinical best practice. The role involves working 52 hours per fortnight, with up to 5 sleepovers per fortnight as part of the roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Promote independence, wellbeing, and person-centred support plans
- Administer medications and monitor healthcare needs in line with clinical guidelines
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and carers
- Maintain accurate clinical records and care documentation
- Support safeguarding, risk management, and infection prevention procedures
- Participate in rostered sleepover duties as required
- Contribute to a positive and supportive residential care environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Relevant experience in intellectual disability nursing or social care settings is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Commitment to person-centred care and advocacy
- Flexibility to work sleepovers and varied shift patterns
- Excellent organisational and clinical decision-making skills
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the Staff Nurse – Intellectual Disability 213T pay scale. The role is offered on a specified purpose part-time basis with 52 hours per fortnight, plus up to 5 sleepovers per fortnight.
