A permanent, full-time Mental Health Staff Nurse position is now available with Cluain Mhuire Community Mental Health Service in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a registered psychiatric nurse to join a nationally recognised centre of innovation in public mental health, contributing directly to adult mental health care across a catchment area of approximately 182,000 people.
About Cluain Mhuire
Cluain Mhuire is a national centre of innovation in public mental health service provision, delivering a community-based adult mental health service for the South East Coast of Co. Dublin. In addition to general adult mental health services, Cluain Mhuire provides early intervention in psychosis, ADHD, gender, and general hospital mental health services. The service is operated by St. John of God Community Services CLG under a Section 38 arrangement with the HSE Dublin and South East region.
The Role
This Mental Health Staff Nurse vacancy sits within the Crisis Resolution Service (CRS) team and involves delivering a psychoeducational day programme. The role is permanent and wholetime (37.5 hours per week). The successful candidate will be a confident communicator and skilled group facilitator, working collaboratively within the CRS model of care.

- Deliver a structured psychoeducational day programme as part of the Crisis Resolution Service team
- Apply the CRS model of care in day-to-day practice
- Facilitate group sessions with skill, empathy, and professionalism
- Demonstrate flexible working practices and a strong recovery philosophy
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in line with the values of the service
- Engage actively in continuing professional development
Requirements
- Current registration, or eligibility to register, in the psychiatric nursing division with NMBI
- Demonstrable experience working in a mental health environment
- Experience in group facilitation
- Evidence of engagement in continuing professional development
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- Commitment to the recovery philosophy of mental health nursing
Salary
€38,523 – €56,384 per annum (HSE Mental Health Staff Nurse scale, 13-point scale, plus LSIs where applicable), based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 February 2026.

The role is based at the Community Mental Health Service, Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Cluain Mhuire provides services across the South East Coast of Co.
