A panel competition for Dietitian (Staff Grade) roles is now open across the HSE Dublin and North East Region, covering the counties of Dublin, Meath, Louth, Cavan, and Monaghan. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified dietitians to build a career within one of Ireland’s largest health regions, supporting communities across a diverse range of integrated health areas.
About the Role
The HSE Dublin and North East Region is forming a panel to fill current and future permanent wholetime Dietitian vacancies — as well as specified purpose, part-time, and whole-time posts as they arise. Successful candidates may be assigned to any of the four Integrated Health Areas (IHAs) within the region:
- Louth Meath IHA
- Cavan Monaghan IHA
- Dublin North County IHA
- Dublin North City & West IHA
As a Staff Grade Dietitian, you will deliver evidence-based nutritional assessment, intervention, and advice to patients and clients across clinical and community settings, contributing to improved health outcomes throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualised care plans for patients and clients.
- Provide dietetic intervention across a range of clinical and community settings within the assigned IHA.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate nutritional care into broader patient management.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to audit, quality improvement, and service development activities.
- Support health promotion and education initiatives within the community.
- Adhere to professional standards, HSE policies, and CORU registration requirements at all times.
Requirements
- Hold a recognised qualification in Dietetics and be registered with CORU (or be eligible for registration).
- Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and patient-centred care skills.
- Willingness to work across multiple sites and settings within the Dublin and North East Region.
Full eligibility criteria are outlined in the campaign documentation on Rezoomo.
Salary
€45,514 – €65,068 per annum (HSE Dietitian scale, 14-point scale, plus LSI where applicable). Pay is based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026. Part-time or worksharing posts, where applicable, will be remunerated on a pro-rata basis.
Location
Posts are based within the HSE Dublin and North East Region, spanning counties Dublin, Meath, Louth, Cavan, and Monaghan. The region encompasses a mix of urban and rural communities, acute hospitals, primary care centres, and community health networks. Specific assignment will be determined at the time of appointment based on service need.
Contract Type
Permanent Wholetime. A panel will also be used to fill specified purpose, part-time, and wholetime vacancies as they arise.
