  • Act as a key point of contact between theatre nursing staff, surgeons, anaesthetists, and wider multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, protocols, and procedures relevant to perioperative care.
  • Ensure appropriate resource management, including equipment, consumables, and staffing levels.
  • Deputise for senior management as required and contribute to strategic planning within the department.

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 grade as set out by the HSE and NMBI. This typically includes:

  • Current, live registration on the active Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Relevant post-registration experience in a theatre/perioperative setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in nursing management or senior clinical leadership.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
