Roscommon University Hospital is recruiting a permanent, full-time Attendant Multi-Task to join its Household Services team. This is an open competition, welcoming applications from both HSE and non-HSE candidates. The post is based at Athlone Road, Roscommon Town and is managed under HSE West and North West.
Role Overview
The Attendant Multi-Task is a frontline Patient and Client Care grade responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental safety across the hospital. The role supports the smooth day-to-day operation of Household Services, contributing directly to patient experience and infection prevention.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out domestic, cleaning, and portering duties across designated areas of the hospital
- Maintain standards of cleanliness in clinical and non-clinical areas in line with HSE hygiene policies
- Support the Household Services team in daily operational tasks
- Assist with the movement of equipment, supplies, and materials as required
- Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures at all times
- Comply with health and safety regulations and HSE policies and procedures
- Participate in training and development as directed by management

Salary
€36,651 – €45,939 per annum (HSE Attendant Multi-Task scale, Grade 6015, 9-point scale, effective 1 June 2026, based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales, Department of Health Circular 2/2026). Placement on the scale is in accordance with HSE pay policy.
