Tarasis Healthcare is recruiting Healthcare Assistants in Sligo to provide high-quality home care and practical support to people who wish to continue living independently in their own homes. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available across Sligo Town and a number of surrounding communities.
About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant with Tarasis Healthcare, you will provide person-centred care and support in accordance with each service user’s individual care plan. The role involves supporting clients with personal care, everyday household tasks and daily routines while promoting independence, choice, dignity and respect.
Tarasis Healthcare has more than 30 years of experience providing care at home. Successful candidates will join a care team supporting service users across Sligo and helping people remain safely and independently in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete care duties and tasks detailed in each client’s individual care plan.
- Assist clients with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
- Provide practical household support, including cleaning, cooking and washing dishes.
- Provide refreshments and light snacks as required.
- Promote independence and personal choice wherever possible.
- Uphold the rights of clients and preserve their dignity at all times.
- Deliver compassionate, respectful and reliable support in clients’ homes.
Requirements
- A kind, caring and compassionate attitude.
- A full driving licence and access to a car.
- QQI Level 5 qualifications in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person, or willingness to complete the required qualifications.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- A commitment to providing high standards of care and support.
Salary
Pay is up to €19.50 per hour. Tarasis Healthcare also offers fortnightly pay, competitive hourly and half-hourly rates, enhanced bank holiday rates, paid mileage and an increasing pay structure based on length of service.
Additional benefits include a €200 sign-up bonus and €200 refer-a-friend bonus, subject to the employer’s applicable terms and conditions, as well as free Garda vetting, training and uniform, career progression opportunities, in-house counselling and wellbeing initiatives.
Location
These Healthcare Assistant jobs are based across County Sligo, with opportunities in Sligo Town, Ballymote, Coolaney, Skreen, Easkey, Dromore West and Enniscrone. The role involves travelling to clients’ homes within the relevant service area, making a full driving licence and access to a car essential.
