Cpl Healthcare is recruiting Social Care Workers in Sligo for residential services supporting young people and individuals with disabilities. Role Overview
As a Social Care Worker, you will provide practical, emotional and person-centred support within a residential care environment. The role involves supporting service users with daily activities, promoting independence and helping to maintain an emotionally and psychologically safe environment.
Successful candidates will work collaboratively with colleagues and relevant stakeholders while also taking initiative when required. Opportunities are available across services supporting young people in residential care and adults with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to service users.
- Promote independence, participation and positive quality-of-life outcomes.
- Build and maintain professional and supportive relationships with service users and relevant stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary care team and take initiative when required.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to effective communication, care planning and service delivery.
- Provide keyworking support and advocate on behalf of individuals in your care.
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the residential service.
- Follow applicable HIQA standards, policies and regulations for residential services.
- Participate in risk assessments and support safeguarding measures for vulnerable individuals.
- Help create a safe, supportive and respectful environment for service users.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related field.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care, keyworking and safeguarding practices.
- Experience and understanding of risk assessment and the safeguarding of vulnerable individuals.
- Knowledge of HIQA policies, procedures and Children First guidance.
- Full, clean manual driving licence.
- Authorisation to work in Ireland.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required.
- Flexibility to work the required shift patterns, including day and overnight shifts where scheduled.
Salary
The advertised salary is €36,000–€47,000 per annum, depending on experience. Attractive shift premiums may also apply.
