The Central Remedial Clinic is recruiting for Senior Speech and Language Therapist roles in Dublin North, with permanent full-time and part-time opportunities available across its Children’s Disability Network Teams. These senior therapy positions offer the opportunity to support children and young people with complex developmental needs while contributing to collaborative, family-centred disability services.

Role Overview

The CRC Children’s Disability Network Teams provide interdisciplinary intervention to children and young people aged 0 to 18 years who have complex developmental needs. Services are delivered through a family-centred practice model aligned with the Progressing Disability Services approach.

Successful candidates will join dynamic children’s disability teams during a period of organisational transformation and service development. The CRC is strengthening a culture based on transparency, collaboration, continuous learning and person-centred services, guided by its values of Respect, Person-Centredness, Collaboration, Quality, Courage and Stewardship.

These Senior Speech and Language Therapist roles will suit experienced professionals who want to contribute to the future development of community disability services while delivering high-quality clinical assessment, intervention and support for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level Speech and Language Therapy assessment, intervention and management for children and young people with complex developmental needs.
  • Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary Children’s Disability Network Team.
  • Support children and families through a family-centred and person-centred model of service delivery.
  • Assess and manage clients presenting with dysphagia.
  • Contribute to service delivery planning, development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in education, training, clinical audit and research activities where appropriate.
  • Contribute to coordinated clinics and work collaboratively with other lead therapists and clinical professionals.
  • Support the development of evidence-informed practice and high-quality children’s community disability services.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following essential requirements:

  • A recognised IASLT Speech and Language Therapy qualification and current registration with CORU.
  • A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience, including experience working with clients presenting with physical and sensory disabilities.
  • Experience in the assessment and management of clients presenting with dysphagia.
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
  • Evidence of a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • A full driving licence and access to a car. Candidates who do not currently meet this requirement are encouraged to apply, but there is a requirement to obtain it, which will be explained at interview stage.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Experience in service delivery planning and development.
  • Experience working with clients presenting with excessive drooling.
  • Experience in education, training, research or audit.
  • Experience coordinating clinics and working at a consultative level alongside other lead therapists.
  • An interest in developing clinical skills in the area of drooling.

Salary

€65,197 – €76,767 per annum on the HSE Speech and Language Therapist, Senior grade 3379 salary scale, a 9-point scale based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026.

The Central Remedial Clinic is a Section 38 employer and Department of Health salary terms apply. For part-time appointments, salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis according to contracted hours.

Location

Vacancies are available across the Central Remedial Clinic’s Children’s Disability Network Teams in Dublin North, within the HSE Dublin and North East health region. Successful candidates will work in community-based interdisciplinary teams supporting children, young people and families across the local service area.

Permanent full-time and part-time positions are available across the CRC Children’s Disability Network Teams in Dublin.
