About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our BreastCheck Eccles Unit team. This full-time contract position involves supporting the daily operations of our breast cancer screening service, contributing directly to women’s health initiatives across Dublin and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage patient appointment bookings and scheduling systems
- Maintain accurate patient records and administrative databases
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks and documentation
- Handle telephone inquiries and correspondence professionally
- Assist with data entry and report preparation for screening programs
- Coordinate with other healthcare units and external agencies as required
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Experience Option: Satisfactory experience as a Clerical Officer in HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or Section 38 service providers
- OR Education Option: Leaving Certificate with pass (Grade D) in five subjects including Mathematics and English/Irish, with Grade C or higher in three subjects at higher level
- OR Equivalent: Comparable examination standard from another jurisdiction
- OR Third Level: Level 6+ qualification on National Qualifications Framework (QQI)
- High standard of suitability and character for public service
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare administration
- Knowledge of HSE systems and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy and database management experience
