About the Role
As a Caregiver with Atlantic Care North West, you will deliver high-quality, person-centered care to individuals in their homes across Sligo and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients in their own homes
- Support individuals with daily living activities and mobility assistance
- Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with supervisors
- Follow established care plans and protocols to ensure client safety
- Build positive, professional relationships with clients and their families
- Travel between client locations using own transport with mileage reimbursement
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Genuine compassion and dedication to caring for others
- Reliable own transport for travel between client locations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow care protocols
- Flexibility to work various hours including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare, care assistance, or community support
- QQI Level 5 certification in Healthcare Support or related field
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures
- Experience working with elderly or vulnerable populations
