Children’s Health Ireland is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Respiratory (with an interest in Non-invasive Ventilation) to join its specialist team in Dublin South. This Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Respiratory Dublin opportunity offers a leadership role in delivering high-quality respiratory care within a leading paediatric healthcare environment.
The successful candidate will support clinical excellence, service development, and patient-centred respiratory care, particularly in the area of non-invasive ventilation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day management of respiratory nursing services.
- Support the delivery of specialist care in non-invasive ventilation for paediatric patients.
- Supervise, mentor and support nursing staff to maintain high clinical standards.
- Ensure compliance with national clinical guidelines, HIQA standards and best practice frameworks.
- Coordinate patient care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Promote quality improvement initiatives within respiratory services.
- Contribute to audit, education and service development activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse on the active register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Minimum required clinical experience in respiratory nursing.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in non-invasive ventilation.
- Management or leadership experience at senior staff nurse level or equivalent.
- Strong organisational, communication and decision-making skills.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned to the HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Grade Code 2127) pay scale under the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025).
Salary Scale (1 August 2025):
€56,642 – €66,705 per annum (8-point scale, excluding LSIs)
