Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and operational support within St Michael’s B Ward
- Support the delivery of safe, patient-focused nursing care in line with professional standards
- Assist with staff supervision, mentoring, and performance development
- Promote best practices in infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical governance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and care quality
- Participate in ward management, resource planning, and service improvement initiatives
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to healthcare policies
- Support ongoing education and professional development within the nursing team
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Relevant post-registration nursing experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical environment is desirable
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Knowledge of clinical governance and healthcare quality standards
