Job Overview
The Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Theatre) will support the efficient management of the Theatre Department, ensuring safe, patient-centred surgical care. The post holder will lead by example in clinical excellence, governance, and team coordination within a dynamic acute hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision within the Theatre Department.
- Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care.
- Support staff development, mentorship, and performance management.
- Promote compliance with HIQA standards, hospital policies, and HSE guidelines.
- Participate in service planning, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with rostering, resource allocation, and operational management of theatre services.
- Foster multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the NMBI register.
- Minimum required post-registration experience consistent with CNM1 grade.
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in Theatre Nursing.
- Proven leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to clinical governance and continuous professional development.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Grade: Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Grade Code 2127)
- Salary Scale (from 1 August 2025): €56,642 – €66,705 per annum (8-point scale)
