The Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Theatre Mullingar role offers an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership position within the Theatre Department at Regional Hospital Mullingar. Job Overview

The Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Theatre) will support the efficient management of the Theatre Department, ensuring safe, patient-centred surgical care. The post holder will lead by example in clinical excellence, governance, and team coordination within a dynamic acute hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership and supervision within the Theatre Department.
Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care.
Support staff development, mentorship, and performance management.
Promote compliance with HIQA standards, hospital policies, and HSE guidelines.
Participate in service planning, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
Assist with rostering, resource allocation, and operational management of theatre services.
Foster multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Registered General Nurse with active registration on the NMBI register.
Minimum required post-registration experience consistent with CNM1 grade.
Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in Theatre Nursing.
Proven leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Commitment to clinical governance and continuous professional development.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Grade: Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Grade Code 2127)
Salary Scale (from 1 August 2025): €56,642 – €66,705 per annum (8-point scale)
