Job Overview
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator) will lead and coordinate the cardiac rehabilitation programme at Cork University Hospital. The postholder will ensure the provision of safe, effective, evidence-based nursing care and service development in line with national cardiac care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and professional leadership within the cardiac rehabilitation service.
- Coordinate and manage the delivery of comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation programmes.
- Ensure high standards of patient-centred care in line with HSE policies and national guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiology, physiotherapy, dietetics, and medical staff.
- Support audit, quality improvement initiatives, and service evaluation.
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and support staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Participate in education, training, and continuous professional development activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Significant post-registration experience, including relevant cardiology or cardiac rehabilitation experience.
- Management or leadership experience at Clinical Nurse Manager level or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac rehabilitation best practice and service delivery.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to professional development and quality improvement.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
