Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to provide clinical leadership within its Renal Dialysis unit. This is a permanent, wholetime post offering a structured management pathway within one of the HSE Dublin and Midlands region’s principal acute hospitals.
About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 will provide frontline nursing management and clinical leadership within the Renal Dialysis service at Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational and clinical coordination of the unit, supporting staff development, maintaining care standards, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of renal dialysis services across the Midlands region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and managerial leadership within the Renal Dialysis unit on a day-to-day basis.
- Support the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to renal dialysis patients.
- Manage and develop nursing staff, supporting performance, education, and professional growth within the team.
- Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, patient-centred care pathways.
- Contribute to service planning, resource management, and quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and clinical governance standards.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to audit and reporting processes.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 grade as set out in the HSE campaign documentation. In addition, applicants are expected to demonstrate:
- Depth and breadth of experience in Renal Dialysis Nursing, relevant to the CNM2 role.
- Proven clinical leadership and management capability at a senior nursing level.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.

Salary
€62,699 – €79,227 per annum (HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (General) scale, 11-point scale, plus LSIs where applicable). Based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026.
