Job Overview

The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Monaghan role offers an exciting leadership opportunity within the Outpatient’s Department at Cavan Monaghan Hospital. This permanent part-time (0.5 WTE) position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while supporting staff development and service improvement.

You will provide professional and clinical leadership, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient outpatient services aligned with national standards and HSE governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and managerial leadership within the Outpatient’s Department.
  • Ensure delivery of safe, effective, person-centred nursing care.
  • Support staff supervision, performance management, and professional development.
  • Monitor clinical standards, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate service delivery to ensure optimal patient flow and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to policy development and implementation in line with national guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Registered General Nurse on the active register maintained by NMBI.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including relevant clinical experience.
  • Management qualification or willingness to undertake same.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-working abilities.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and quality assurance frameworks.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary is aligned with the HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade Code 2119) pay scale in accordance with the August 2025 Consolidated Salary Scales}.
