Job Overview
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Night Limerick opportunity offers experienced nursing professionals the chance to provide senior clinical leadership during night duty within HSE Mid West services. This permanent wholetime role ensures high standards of patient care, governance, and operational oversight outside standard hours.
You will play a critical leadership role in maintaining safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and management across the hospital/service during night duty.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care in line with HSE policies and standards.
- Supervise and support nursing and multidisciplinary staff on night shifts.
- Manage patient flow, bed capacity and escalation procedures as required.
- Respond to clinical incidents and ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up.
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention and risk management practices.
- Contribute to service planning, quality improvement and governance initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Be registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Have a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including relevant acute clinical experience.
- Demonstrate leadership and management capability in a clinical setting.
- Possess strong communication, decision-making and organisational skills.
- Meet all eligibility criteria as outlined in the official Job Specification.
- Provide evidence of continuous professional development.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned to the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade 2119) HSE pay scale.
As per the consolidated pay scales effective 1 August 2025 :
- Salary Scale: €61,463 – €77,666 (LSI applicable)
- Permanent Wholetime contract
