Job Overview

The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 PICU Dublin role offers an exciting leadership opportunity within the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Health Ireland. Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership and operational management during assigned shifts within PICU.
Ensure safe, evidence-based nursing care for critically ill paediatric patients.
Supervise, support, and mentor nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members.
Coordinate patient flow, staffing allocation, and resource management.
Maintain compliance with HIQA standards, hospital policies, and professional guidelines.
Promote a culture of safety, quality improvement, and patient-centred care.
Participate in audit, risk management, and service development initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Registered General Nurse with current registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, with significant experience in paediatric critical care or intensive care nursing.
Demonstrated leadership and management experience at CNM1 level or equivalent.
Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and organisational skills.
Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary scale: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade Code 2119) €62,078 – €78,443 (LSI) per annum (pro-rata for part-time), effective from 1 February 2026.
Salary aligned with Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (February 2026 revision).
Specified Purpose, Part-time contract.
