Bantry General Hospital is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to lead its SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) Outreach Services in Bantry, County Cork. This is a permanent, wholetime post offering a senior nursing leadership role in an expanding oncology outreach service within HSE South West.
About the Role
As Clinical Nurse Manager 2 for SACT Outreach Services, you will provide clinical leadership, professional supervision, and operational management within the unit. The CNM2 grade carries responsibility for the delivery of safe, high-quality nursing care and for supporting the development of outreach cancer services at Bantry General Hospital, bringing specialist oncology care closer to patients in West Cork.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and management for the SACT Outreach nursing team.
- Oversee the safe administration of systemic anti-cancer therapies in an outreach setting.
- Ensure compliance with national and local SACT protocols, policies, and patient safety standards.
- Support staff development, performance, and professional supervision within the unit.
- Collaborate with oncology, pharmacy, and multidisciplinary team colleagues across HSE South West.
- Contribute to service planning, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate patient records and uphold governance standards.
Requirements

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) — active registration essential.
- Relevant post-registration experience in oncology or SACT nursing at an appropriate level.

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
Salary
€62,699 – €76,921 per annum (HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (General) scale, 11-point scale, plus LSIs where applicable). LSI: €79,227. Based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026.
